Stop letting IT band pain sideline your training. At North Dallas Physical Therapy, Dr. Daniel Stokes delivers full-hour, 1-on-1 care built around your goals — not an insurance clock. Get back to running stronger than before.
Being told to take 6 weeks off doesn't rebuild the hip strength and biomechanical patterns that caused your IT band to flare up. You return to training — and the pain returns with you.
At high-volume insurance-driven clinics, you're often handed off to an aide and seen alongside multiple patients. Your injury gets a fraction of the attention it deserves.
Without objective data — strength testing, movement screens, return-to-sport benchmarks — there's no clear roadmap for when you're truly ready to race, compete, or train hard again.
North Dallas Physical Therapy was built for athletes and active adults who refuse to settle for generic care. Dr. Daniel Stokes combines clinical physical therapy with strength and conditioning expertise to find the root cause of your IT band syndrome and build a performance-focused recovery plan around your specific goals — whether that's your next race, season, or weekend on the course.
Full-hour, 1-on-1 sessions with Dr. Daniel Stokes every visit — never rushed, never shared with another patient
Root-cause movement screening, isokinetic strength testing, and running gait analysis to identify exactly what's driving your IT band pain
A clear, data-driven return-to-sport progression so you know exactly when — and how — you're ready to train hard again
Your first session includes a comprehensive movement screen, functional assessment, and isokinetic strength testing to pinpoint the root cause of your IT band pain. We address pain and tissue quality immediately with manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, or Graston — then build your personalized home program on day one.
We systematically correct the strength deficits and movement imbalances driving your IT band syndrome — using therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, blood flow restriction training, and running gait analysis — while keeping you as active as possible throughout the process.
Using objective return-to-sport benchmarks and sport-specific progressions, we confirm you're truly ready to run, race, or compete — not just pain-free, but stronger and more resilient than before your injury.
IT band syndrome is our specialty, but it rarely exists in isolation. At our Dallas physical therapy clinic, Dr. Stokes treats the full spectrum of running-related and orthopedic injuries — using the same root-cause approach to get you moving well, building strength, and staying injury-free for the long term. If you've been searching for IT band syndrome physical therapy near me, you've found the right place.
