Still Running Through Pain and Getting Nowhere?

Generic Advice That Doesn't Stick

You've been told to rest, ice it, and stretch more — but the pain keeps coming back the moment you ramp up your mileage again. Without identifying the root cause, you're just managing symptoms, not solving the problem.

High-Volume Clinics, Low-Quality Attention

At most PT chains, you're shuffled between exercises while your therapist splits time across multiple patients. You deserve focused, expert attention — not a rushed session that leaves you with more questions than answers.

Training Blindly Without Data

Running harder with flawed mechanics only reinforces the patterns that cause injury. Without a real biomechanical assessment, every mile you run is building on a faulty foundation — setting you up for the next breakdown.

Why Dallas Runners Choose North Dallas PT

North Dallas Physical Therapy is built for athletes who refuse to sit on the sideline. Led by Dr. Daniel Stokes, DPT, CSCS, every session is one-on-one and dedicated entirely to you. We use technology-driven strength assessment and biomechanical analysis — including comprehensive running gait analysis — to uncover exactly what's driving your pain and limiting your performance. No guesswork. No cookie-cutter programs. Just a clear, data-backed plan to get you running stronger.

  • 1-on-1 full-hour sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist — your therapist's full attention, every appointment

  • Technology-driven running gait analysis and isokinetic muscle strength testing to identify imbalances and personalize your treatment from day one

Your Path Back to Pain-Free Running Starts Here

 Step 1: Get a Root-Cause Evaluation

Your first session is a comprehensive assessment — including running gait analysis, movement screening, and strength testing — to pinpoint the exact biomechanical and muscular factors driving your pain or limiting your performance. No assumptions. Just answers.

Step 2: Follow Your Personalized Plan

Based on your evaluation, Dr. Stokes builds a step-by-step recovery and performance plan tailored to your body, your sport, and your goals. Each one-on-one session combines hands-on manual therapy, targeted exercise, and education so you understand every stage of your progress.

Step 3: Return Stronger and Stay There

The goal isn't just to get you back running — it's to keep you there. We address the root cause, rebuild your strength and movement mechanics, and equip you with the knowledge and tools to prevent future injury so you can train and compete with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a running gait analysis and what does it include?

A running gait analysis at North Dallas PT is a comprehensive biomechanical assessment of how you move when you run. Dr. Stokes evaluates your stride mechanics, foot strike pattern, hip and knee alignment, cadence, and muscle activation patterns using direct observation and movement screening tools. The analysis identifies inefficiencies and imbalances that contribute to injury risk or performance limitations — and forms the foundation of your personalized treatment plan.

Who is running gait analysis right for?

Gait analysis is ideal for runners dealing with recurring injuries like IT band syndrome, runner's knee, Achilles tendinopathy, or plantar fasciitis — as well as performance-focused athletes who want to run more efficiently and reduce their injury risk before problems develop. If you've been searching for running injury care near me and want real answers, this is the place to start.

Do you accept insurance?

North Dallas Physical Therapy operates on a self-pay model, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. This allows Dr. Stokes to provide 100% one-on-one care without the constraints of insurance-mandated session limits or shared appointment time. Payment plans are available to help spread costs — call (214) 307-2873 for details on current rates and plan options.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first session includes a thorough root-cause evaluation to pinpoint the exact source of your pain or movement limitation. Dr. Stokes will conduct a full body movement assessment, discuss your training history and goals, and begin treatment in the same session. You'll leave with a clear diagnosis, an initial treatment, and a personalized home or gym program to start your progress immediately.

How is North Dallas PT different from a traditional physical therapy clinic?

At most PT clinics, patients are rotated between exercises while a therapist divides attention among several patients at once. At North Dallas PT, every session is one-on-one for the full hour — Dr. Stokes is with you the entire time, adjusting your care in real time. Add in advanced diagnostics, performance-focused programming, and a self-pay model that removes insurance restrictions, and the difference is clear.

How do I book an appointment?

The easiest way to get started is to call us directly at (214) 307-2873 or visit northdallaspt.com to learn more and request an appointment. We offer flexible hours Tuesday through Saturday to fit your training schedule.
