At North Dallas Physical Therapy, you get a full hour of one-on-one care with Dr. Daniel Stokes — every session, every visit. No aides. No rushing. No generic protocols. Just expert, data-driven rehab designed to resolve the root cause of your pain and get you back to the sport you love — stronger than before.
You see a different person every visit, share your therapist with three other patients, and leave with the same printout you got last time. Nothing changes — and neither does your pain.
Generic advice to stop training might protect a clinic's liability, but it doesn't fix what broke down. Time off without a real plan just delays the inevitable return to pain.
Without objective benchmarks and a structured progression, you're guessing when you're ready to compete again — and risking re-injury on your first day back.
North Dallas Physical Therapy is built differently. Dr. Daniel Stokes — a licensed PT, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and TPI Medical Level 3 provider — blends clinical rehabilitation with performance training so you don't just recover, you come back stronger. Every plan starts with a real movement screen and isokinetic strength test, not a guess. If you're searching for sports physical therapy near me and want expert, one-on-one care that actually gets to the root cause, this is it.
Full-hour, 1-on-1 sessions with Dr. Stokes — never shared with another patient or handed off to an aide
Technology-driven assessments including running gait analysis, isokinetic muscle strength testing, and functional movement screens
Advanced manual therapy: dry needling, cupping, Graston technique, and PNF stretching — combined with strength and conditioning to address root causes
Your first session includes a thorough evaluation to pinpoint the root cause of your pain, an initial hands-on treatment, and a personalized at-home program — so you start feeling better from day one.
Using manual therapy, targeted exercise, and advanced techniques like dry needling and Graston, we break through faulty movement patterns and rebuild strength where it matters most.
With objective return-to-sport benchmarks and sport-specific progressions, you return to your activity with confidence — knowing you're ready, resilient, and stronger than before.
From acute sports injuries to chronic overuse conditions, Dr. Stokes provides evidence-based sports physical therapy in Dallas for a wide range of orthopedic and performance-limiting diagnoses. Whether you're a runner dealing with IT band syndrome, an overhead athlete managing shoulder pain, or a weekend warrior recovering from an ACL injury, you'll receive a treatment plan built specifically around your body, your sport, and your goals.
Lower extremity: IT band syndrome, runner's knee, ACL injury, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, hip impingement, hamstring strain, and ankle sprains

"Daniel is excellent. He helped both of my boys rehab and successfully return to play. He's extremely knowledgeable and always thinking beyond just recovery — focusing on long-term health, performance, and injury prevention. Highly recommend!"
"I can't recommend Daniel enough! He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough in his approach. Every session is tailored to my body's needs, and I always leave feeling better. He takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, which helps me better understand how to take care of my body outside of our sessions."
